You are at the home Matt and Hannah Abbotts’ outdoor adventures. We are currently out attempting a through hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. We are sending in updates from the trail as best we can so if you are interested you can follow along as we hike. We even have a map so you can see where we are at any given time. We will have short updates on our Facebook Page. as well as on twitter @hannahabbotts and @mattabbotts. Both of us will also be writing a full daily journal which you can find up in the handy dandy Pacific Crest Trail section on the navigation bar. So please check out our current adventure.
But wait! There’s more! This ain’t our first rodeo. We have two big trips in the past and take tons of smaller trips. In 2009 we circumnavigated Lake Superior in our sea kayaks. It took about 70 days and we kept journals for that as well. We also took a ton of amazing photos. If you like kayaking, or pictures, or us, or if you don’t like any of those things, we encourage you to check that trip. Matt through hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2008 and has a full journal, some photos, a map, his gear list, and some other stuff on the website. It should make a great companion read to our PCT journals. We also have a daily blog, which has never been updated daily but has posts of a bunch of cool trips, gear reviews and a few great photos. It won’t be updated for a while because we are hiking but feel free to go back and check out what we have been up to and check back in the fall for the tales of all sorts of cool trips.
Now that you have made it to our website, how about you drop us a line? We love to hear from people. Even if you don’t have anything to say just send us a message saying hi. All the information is up there where it says “Contact Us”. Please email us, it is really nice to know that anyone reads this. Or post comments, we love those too. We get lonely out there.
The website is was under construction before we left and we are adventurers, not web designers, so if something is messed up or you think there is a better way we could do things please let us know and we will try to fix it. It might not get done for a while but we want to make this site as good as possible.
