Another day of bad news from the weather radio. The small craft advisory continues today and being that we are very small crafts we decided to sit another one out. The radio said 35 mph winds and that was enough to convince us. We slept in and spent the morning reading. The walk to Tofte, the nearest town at 4 miles out, filled up the rest of the day during the two trips we made in for breakfast and dinner. I ate 20 chicken wings and some jalapeno peppers for dinner. My appetite is starting to build. I can already see more muscle in my shoulders and am losing the flab I built up over the winter. We bought a pair of headphones in the gas station so we can finally listen to music on the ipod we brought. That was a nice change but made me miss home where everything comes much easier. It was tough taking a second day off. I feel compelled to keep moving around the lake even though I know I need to relax and take time to enjoy this trip and a weather day is a good excuse to do that. Hannah has been a great help in that department. She seems to understand the importance of taking our time as much as I am driven to move on. I think we have struck a nice balance. Hopefully the weather will break tomorrow and we can move North but I am not going to get my hopes up. The forecast is for more of the same.
